St Paul’s Bay

image showing Profile St Pauls Bay
St. Paul's Bay has sand and pebbles, as well as rocks from which you can dive into the clear water. You'll have to park the vehicles before you get to the beach, and then you'll have to walk there. You may also walk here from Lindos.

St.Paul's bay, history since 51AD

St. Paul's beach is made up of two little streams and a small church at the end. Swimmers from the upper section of Lindos village like to come here. The right half of the beach has loungers, restaurants, and greek music, while the left side is more private.St. Paul is said to have been here in the year 51 AD to preach Christianity to the Rhodians. The lovely little chapel on the slope to the right of the sea is also a favourite wedding venue.

St. Pauls Bay is famous for its beautiful landscape and a breathtaking view of the Lindos Acropolis, as well as its golden fine sand and blue seas. Visiting this beautiful beach should be at the top of your list of things to do during your trip in Lindos. Children may swim in the shallow waters near the beach. If you need to cool down, take a nice dip in the bay's protected waters. Alternatively, grab your snorkelling or scuba diving gear and go out to explore the seafloor. Those of you who like movies may request that one of the boatmen who dock here take you to the Laki, the straits where many parts from "The Guns of Navarone" were filmed.
